PNC-27 Research Peptide
Description:
PNC-27 is a synthetic peptide developed from a segment of the tumor-suppressor protein p53 linked to a membrane-penetrating peptide sequence. It has been studied in preclinical research for its ability to bind selectively to cancer cell membranes through the HDM-2 protein, forming transmembrane pores that can disrupt cell integrity.
Research Notes:
-
Studied for its interaction with HDM-2 protein on cancer cell membranes.
-
Investigated for its ability to induce necrosis in malignant cells in laboratory studies.
-
Selectivity is reported for cancer cells over non-cancerous cells in preclinical testing.
-
Explored for use in in vitro tumor models.
-
Stable as a lyophilized powder; reconstituted solutions should be stored cold.
Form & Storage:
-
Form: Lyophilized powder, ≥98% purity (HPLC).
-
Store dry: -20 °C, protected from light and moisture.
-
Store reconstituted: 2–8 °C, avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
